• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

    Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a behavioral approach to understanding the relationship between thoughts and feelings. ACT utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to teach individuals to accept their own thoughts and feelings and make values-based decision to promote healthy and meaningful behavior change. 

    Services We Provide

    Learner’s discuss interpersonal relationships, thoughts, feelings and committed actions to developing long lasting healthy behavior change plans. Learner’s meet directly with the BCBA to discuss behavior change goals. 

    A typical session consists of learner meeting directly with BCBA and engaging in a meaningful conversation. Learner will participate in hands on ACT specific activities while practicing communication skills, accepting and discussing thoughts and feelings, and diffusing limiting beliefs. 

    Sessions generally range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes, depending on the learner’s needs and goals.
