Our program utilizes ACT principles incorporated into our ABA therapy, particularly with our students who are able to discuss their thoughts and feelings.
ACT brings behavioral science to thoughts and feelings. Learners develop awareness of their thoughts and emotions, explore how these experiences influence their actions, and practice responding in ways that support their goals and values.
Through guided conversations and real-life situations, learners explore interpersonal relationships, emotions, thoughts, and social experiences while developing practical skills to navigate them with great confidence and flexibility.
ACT supports learners in building self-awareness, emotional understanding, communication, perspective-taking, and meaningful relationships.
